Before starting the process of cancelling your credit card, make sure that the balance on it is zero. Call your credit card issuer and ask them to close your credit card account. Follow up with a letter also stating that you want your credit report to say your credit card account was closed at the consumer’s request. For the number and mailing address, see your card or the monthly statement. Ask your issuer rep to confirm your account’s closure in writing.

We did not receive a renewal card for our card that expired June 2011. If one was mailed we did not receive it. If one was not mailed would it be possible to get a new one? Our cards last number is XXXXX & XXXXX
